Alzheimer’s Diseases is a growing health epidemic in Europe. In Europe alone, as of 2018, 9.7 million people suffer from Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. By 2030, the number of patients is projected to rise to 14 million, and the cost of treating them will grow to €250 billion.
Biogen and VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland call for start-up and scaleup companies working on a digital health solution to be part of the solution and apply to our “Alzheimer’s Disease Challenge” workshop at the world’s leading start-up conference, Slush, on December 1, 2021 in Helsinki.
In the Alzheimer’s Disease Challenge workshop, we will be going deeper into the specific challenges related to different parts of Alzheimer’s patient journey. The challenges include but are not limited to digital solution
• prevention and early detection of Alzheimer’s Disease
• patient and care giver support
• healthcare system support in Alzheimer’s Disease management
The workshop will be facilitated by Biogen and VTT teams together with leading AD experts and representatives from a VC fund. The workshop is focused on building a pathway towards implementation of your technology in real healthcare setting so that it can benefit AD patients and their loved ones as soon as possible.
